TAZ Workhorse Cura Profile – 0.8mm Nozzle (MET 285)

We had an old unused LulzBot Taz Workhorse with a broken extruder, so I recently upgraded it with a MET 285 extruder. The extruder works really well, but the default 0.5 mm nozzle is too slow for quick prototyping where surface finish isn’t a priority (function over form!).

So I switched to a 0.8 mm nozzle. There’s no default profile for this setup in the LulzBot edition of Cura, and I couldn’t find anything online either.

This is a profile I put together through some trial and error — mainly adjusting print temperature and extrusion speed. This worked well for me, but you may need to tweak slightly based on your filament and setup.
